DPI means nothing really. It just means dots per inch, and correlates to sensitivity. A lot of professional CS:GO players play on 400-800 dpi, because a lower dpi means that they can make smaller aim adjustments much easier. However, since all games have a modifiable sensitivity, then DPI is just your overall preference across all games. Having a mouse with 400 DPI isn't going to give you a disadvantage/advantage over a 3200 DPI mouse. The only thing that matters is the build shape for your playstyle(claw grip, palm grip, hybrid), sensor(usually optical vs laser), and weight.

Two mouse recommendations I have are the Zowie FK1, and the mouse I am currently using which is the Logitech G703. If you can, try to go to a computer store where you can try out a few to see if they feel right right to you. There really is no need to fret over DPI.

That's not a bad one at all. I personally use the G Pro tenkeyless.

I use a G703 mouse. The G403 is identical in style but wired and a bit cheaper if you want to save some money. I actually have a new in box 403 I'd sell you for really cheap if you'd like..

Check out rocketjumpninja's website for advice. He has a good video on hand size and grip style that will help you choose a mouse. Keyboards, as long as they are quality, come down to personal preference on style and other features.

Are you simply using it to operate your PC, light gaming, or competitive gaming?

I don't have an answer, just curious and following along for myself. I play pc games with an xbox controller, but I still have the stupid HP mouse I got from who knows where and could use an upgrade.

Logitech g703 looks nice, and logitech has always worked well for me.

Razer Mamba also looks nice, but has two programmable buttons under the mouse wheel, and those grippy bands on the side, which are both nice.

This is the wrong take, OP didn't ask for best bang for the buck PC, he asked for the best PC.

Cooler: Air is usually cooler and quieter than AIOs, in your machine you want the noctua nh-d15 though.

Your memory is not the best it can be for Ryzen (you want 3200c14 or 3600c16). Remember you have 4 DIMM slots, you can go 4x8 if you want, but I don't think they are cheaper than the 2x16 kits.

3200c14

I personally have the latter one, Samsung b-die for good overclocking potential.

Storage: Don't put mechanical in this build for the love of god. Your "boot drive" is fine w/ the 860 evo, consider the m.2 version for slight (and I mean slight) performance gains and less wires:

also consider it's bigger brother the 970 Evo

For your "data drive", get a 2tb mx500, If you buy a mechanical drive for this build you will be banned :).

The video card situation is a weird one right now. nVidia keeps the good bins of their cards and sells the rest to AIBs. If you want the best 2080ti, you want the founders edition

But nVidia has probably the worst customer service, and 3rd party cards offer better cooling. It's a decision that's up to you. I personally went with a Founders Edition card for my build (2080 Super though).

Get an 80+ platinum power supply

This is a hot take, but consider a wireless mouse. The offerings today have no lag and gaming without cable drag is fantastic. Some suggestions:
Logitech G Pro Wireless

Logitech G703

Not entirely sure if I do. I have this version from Amazon.

Wireless gaming peripherals are pretty expensive.

Like the G903, G703, Razer Mamba

And most wireless gaming keyboards are shitty membranes ones. Not really worth it.

Dang, that looks clean. Nicely done!

Only thing I see "missing" is a wireless mouse. It's a little odd having the wireless AP2 and a wired mouse. Wireless in a mouse makes such a huge difference. I'd pick up a Logitech mouse in their Lightspeed wireless lineup like the G305 or G703.

Not sure what your budget is but here are some ideas:

Wireless Charging Mousepad
(This is pretty new gaming tech if he likes wireless mice)

Wireless Charging Mouse
(There are 2 types from Logitech for the new pad)

Pressurized Growler

If he works, look at nice laptop bags.

See if he likes Bawls or other gamer drinks/edibles.

Hope it helps.
