However it depends on the type of LEDs you use. Mine are cheap RGBW, so they work with this controller. RGBWW would need something like this:

What exactly is the issue with yours? Did you ensure they're cloud connected via the magichome app and not just in AP mode?

I was just finishing off my 10m strip when you posted this. I was gonna do the whole DIY nodeMCU thing, then I found this , and it works easily with home assistant straight out of the box. You just plug your strip into into(and power supply. I bought a kit that came with 10m rob strip and a power supply).
I just installed it over our wardrobe yesterday so I’m not sure how good it is yet, but it comes on without delay when I automate it to turn on with the rest of the TOMS lights.
