Wrist supporter

This is what I'd use it for!
I'm a bgirl (female breakdancer). I'm working on my freezes, which are aerial moves in breakdance where you maintain a fixed body position (my drawing depicts a freeze!). Bonus points the harder/cooler your freeze is. You typically end your "set" with a freeze. They're really difficult and require a decent mix of balance, flexibility, core strength, and upper arm strength. They're also killer on your wrists, which is why I want the wrist wrap. Wrist wraps help tremendously for wrist support while practicing freezes (I've borrowed one before and the difference is amazing!). These only come in singles, but even 1 would help so much since I'm right-handed, so most of my body weight while doing freezes is centered on my right hand.

Thanks for the contest!

Oh man, These Burn's are stiff ones, felt stiffer than my PD Roddick GT!
But these stiff frames need some lead tapes on the head. Not too much, but about 2 grams on top and 2 grams on each side around 2 and 10 o'clock area. Reduces vibrations on hits and mishits a LOT, without affecting the balance too much. If you wanna get technical, you can calculate recoil weight as you add lead tapes here and there. It can get tedious, but they work! Read more about here:

I'm not young anymore like you, but you might wanna protect your precious joints now, and try one of these wrist supports.

You can simply wrap athletic tapes tight few times, but that cheap support is more convenient with velcro.
And it works without affecting your swing! My wrist pain was gone after few sessions with it.

If you haven't played for while, maybe you just need to do some complementary muscle workouts along with your techniques(These stiff frames needs more drive on your swing I think). Not too fancy, just some simple ones that are more appropriate for tennis I think.

Old water jug rollups work great too.

And if you feel better, you might wanna swing some hammers.
After you swing this thing few times slowly, you'll feel mighty. heh heh.

Anyway, Burn 100 or 100S models are awesome racquets, as are the PureDrives, with a bit of lead tapes.
And Hyper-G on either frames are soooo addictive!

Hope your wrist get better and take care of them!

Not a doctor but I think I have the same thing in my right wrist from computer use and guitar.

These have really helped me, they don't really limit movement, just apply gentle compression to the wrist which prevents the pain most of the time for me. They're cheap too, no reason not to try them. I've been wearing them on my right wrist for a few years now and I swear by them. Just ordered 2 more since they wear out after 6-8 months.

Dealt with a wrist problem that ended up in surgery here:

  1. Are you sure your ball fits correctly? after 4-5 years of inactivity, definitely need to have grip checked by a professional. An incorrect fit can cause all kinds of issues.
  2. If the above is good, do not ignore the wrist pain, I waited to long. see a qualified hand/wrist Dr.
  3. I dropped down from 16 to 15 because of this and it was helpful.
  4. I had my PSO "relax" my grip before I ultimately ended up with a partial wrist fusion surgery.
  5. Tried a brace prior to surgery which helped some. https://www.amazon.com/McDavid-Elastic-Wrist-Support-Medium/dp/B0000AU1ZX/ref=asc_df_B0000AU1ZX/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309760615398&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14056218406979525327&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9018801&hvtargid=pla-422937106462&psc=1
  6. Ended up with this brace before and after surgery which helped as well , similar to this https://www.amazon.com/Mongoose-Optimum-bowling-Support-Medium/dp/B00IK1902A/ref=asc_df_B00IK1902A/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167133777536&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10940306235034529195&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9018801&hvtargid=pla-309677451016&psc=1

Yeah maybe. I tried kinesio tape for my shoulder and back pain before. It provided SOME relief but as soon as I took it off, I was more or less back to baseline.

After a while, I got used to the tingling in my wrist. I use this thing when my wrist really bothers me though: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AU1ZX

It works pretty well for me and isn't too expensive (or sticky like k tape).
