Have you used the controls test function in the settings menu, to verify that it's only the left stick that's acting up? If all the other buttons work well, you can do what I did to fix my analog stick drift.
I got these sticks and installed them using the Y000 bit from this set, following this tutorial on iFixit. The whole process took maybe 10 minutes per device, just take your time, be gentle, and double check the instructions.
(Be aware that "Y" and "tri-wing" screws are often conflated but slightly different shapes. You can probably find a better deal on a suitable screwdriver but the ones I linked worked for me and shipped next-day, and I figure now I have an assortment for next time they're needed.)
ETA: just noticed that they sell a "kit" with one stick instead of two and a set of screwdrivers. Could save a few bucks but only the two-stick pack comes with Prime shipping.
