I can't say how this compares calorie for calorie against actual 'weight gainer' products - but, Met-RX Super Cookie Crunch is the best freaking bar I've ever had. Kinda spendy, but I think you're going to be hard pressed to find a supplement option that's not.

Meal Replacement Bars
This is my go-to. they have a long-ish shelf life and as long as the flavor has "crunch" in the name they're decent enough tasting.

Depending on where you live and how how outdoorsy you are...: This is on my short list for my Rush24.

GAMES!
If you find yourself out with friends frequently I've got all of these games in the front pouch of my bag at all times.

I also have a cheapo knock around Flashlight that I need to replace... because it's crazy cheap and I burned out the O-ring that controls the "adjustable beam" functionality in like the first 5 minutes of messing with it....

I also have an Opinel #4 in the bookend pouch because why not have a backup knife... and a 250GB 2.5" usb hard drive incase i ever need to either pull down or transfer a large amount of data.
Not always in my bag but probably should be: My Olympus PEN E-PM1... takes really nice photos in my opinion and can be had for under $200... I think not having a pancake lense for it is what keeps me from throwing it in the bag and keeping it there.
Depending on if I'm actually going to be outside for a long period, or far away from home, I'll usually toss some extra socks and even a base layer in there just so I know i'll have dry clothes if I end up getting wet unexpectedly.

If you buy with subscription it comes out to about $1.75 a bar. Eat one a day for 3 weeks, I promise you will lose 20 pounds. (that's what I'm doing again right now). It'll cost you about $37 for 3 weeks worth, cheap!
(I know people will say this is unhealthy, but fasting for a short period of time is not only safe but can be healthy, just don't do this for more than a month)
