If you cable lock it then they just possess it with a cable lock in it.

I will be grabbing a cheapo lock box like what you use at a bake sale and bolting it to the floor of the safe. That one isn't quite big enough for a lower with a stock, though. I'm not really worried about that constructive possession crap but it's $15 and easy enough to do.
