I would say it's overpriced, yeah, plus a bit gaudy with that branding at the top (imo). In terms of switches, I think one of the big things that the community has learnt in the past year or so is that Cherry aren't the be all and end all of MX switches, yes they invented them, and yes they have great QC, but almost all other switch manufacturers have their place in terms of price/quality. Gateron, for example are a very good alternative and often found in cheaper keyboards. You are also more likely to find an ANSI layout from non-premium brands, as the big names are more likely to stock the local specific layouts.

Magicforce I have found to build particularly good budget boards, and are available in a load of different switch types. Shame that it's only ANSI and I can only find the 104 key in white.
