Oh yeah, put too much time into it to just erase. Made an 11" x 17" stencil that I printed, cut out, and taped to the lectern. Traced that with some chalk I bought a few years ago; outlined in white, removed the stencils and then filled in with red, then orange, then yellow. I'm really happy with how it came out.
Deciding if I want to put anything at the bottom.
These are pastels though.

They can be found relatively cheap on Amazon, start chipping away with a hobby knife and convert it into dust-like powder and apply with an old brush.
