I like getting the small things as gifts. Things I misplace or might not grab myself.

Stove, light, knife, cord, stakes, tensioners, blacklight for scorpion spotting for fun, water bottle clip, kee cool wet towel, ditty bags, micro s-biners. For mostly under 10 bucks, few under 20.

Pick some. That flashlight rocks my socks, but I have all of these things.

Yah, I warn about the Nite Ize RR-04-50 Reflective Cord, then saw you were likely talking about the same stuff. It is reflective, but the reflect material makes the rope course.

Spend the extra money and get some reflective cordage.

Its super nice for stuff like tent tie outs and the such when you are walking around in the dark with a head lamp.

You should be able to find it at REI or EMS in the states.

Btw I have the same cheapo MSR knock offs and I didn't attach any cord, haven't blown away yet.

I like to keep a long (25'+) piece for a ridgeline and about 6-8 6' pieces for tarp tie-outs. I'll sometimes use thinner reflective cord for the corner tie-outs, mostly if I'm in a group setting so people can see the cord and not trip over them. For backpacking I would only use the thinner cord, as paracord is a bit on the heavy side especially if you are carrying 50+ feet of it.

This is the thinner cord I generally use

Or spend the same amount of cash, one time, for some spectra line and use it to straight up replace whatever tent ropes you have been using. It has those super-reflective fibers in it that light up runners in the dark. Any bit of light shining at the ropes will have your tent lines winking back at you.

Do they even sell tents without these type of guy lines anymore? I buy backpacking tents from REI and all of my tents have come with such lines.

Or are you the type who wanders around in the dark without a light source (bad, do not do this!)?

Update Edit: this stuff @ $6

This is what I use for tie downs on my hammock fly. Nite Ize Reflective cord. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004MMEHTC/

I suggest this because it’s lighter. It’s reflective. It grips my titanium Shepard’s hooks great, price was ok and Works great with the sliding adjusters built in my rain fly. Also works great with these dohickys: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W4RKZES/

Also most paracord I can find local is shit. The tough-grid brand paracord I get off Amazon tho seems pretty legit tho and I use a 50’ section of that for a bear bag.
