Currently i have the cossover 2795. However, that is not a 144hz gsync monitor.

So what happened is that i waited for 2 years in order to get a good Gsync display. I was told that the Viewsonic gsync display was the best so i ordered that one and it was loaded with glow in the corners and the colors were not as good as my Crossover 2795. The second viewsonic display had very little glow, but it did have one corner with a glow of glow. Unfortunately after a few hours of use, the whole screen had burn in after being left on for more than half an hour.

A few months later i said "yea know what, I am going with the dell gsync monitor even though it is TN." So i ordered the thing and calibrated the colors so that they looked good. they were still no where near as good as my ips, but eh. Anyways, the display had horrible color banding due to the gamma of the monitor. Also the viewing angles were horrific, so i returned it.

The AOC AGON IPS gsync display was nice but had a massive amount of glow in one corner. Also the colors even after calibration were worse than my crossover korean monitor (it turns out a thin matte make it so the monitor is a lot more reflective, but also the colors are way better).

So yesterday i decided that it is not worth paying for gsync because going for the best gsync monitor available (which is LG's 32' 1440p va panel), I would be stuck paying $850. Instead I found this gem called the Nexius Edg monitor. It is a 27' 1440p 144hz IPS freesync display whith great reviews. All for $444 no tax! The reason why i mainly got it was because it had freesync even though i have an nvdia card. I figure that Nvdia will have to in the future make their cards able to use adaptive sync, and if they dont anytime soon (which is likely), I will just go and pick up a AMD card seeing as they are catching up to Nvdia. All in all i cant wait to test it out when it arrives on Tuesday. Anymore questions feel free to ask.

I recently built a computer to run 1440p 144hz games on and did a lot of research into the market before buying my monitor. I ended up getting the monitor in the link. I find that it hits all the marks super well. I do animation as a hobby and it’s color accuracy is great as well as having all the perks that come with buying an IPS panel. It’s also fully adjustable which is nice and 27” so it’s nice and big.

The monitors that you have listed are great choices the Acer one is a TN panel so you won’t notice in gaming but you will in graphic design as the TN panel is know for its poorer color reproduction and contrast. The other one is also great but you can get something very similar much cheaper. (Also RGB on the back of the monitor wtf?) What ever you end up getting I recommend you get a VA or IPS panel for your graphic design. Unless your a highly dedicated CS:GO god I don’t think you’ll notice the difference between the 1ms on TN panels and 4ms that comes on panels other than TN

For reference I got this one about 2 weeks ago. No problems. Looks excellent and is quite big bigger than I expected but I had a 22” before

If so, then I feel the only other worthwhile options are IPS without G-Sync.

Here are a couple cheaper ones:

Nixeus EDG27

This Monoprice Monitor (Not tested as far as I know, so I'm not sure about the quality, but a decent brand at least)

That's the monitor with a different stand. Fine if you will mount anyways, but if you want the adjustable stand this is the correct link.

Thanks Peunda!

How do the codes work?

I was quite keen on that particular model as well which is a shame but awell. The NX-EDG27 looks good as well.

I am yet to find a good 1440p 144hz IPS in 24" which is odd

Thanks, I have just tried this, and once filtered down by 27" / 1440p / 144hz / IPS / Freesync I am left with 9 results.

5 of these are seemingly discontinued and cannot be found available to buy online anywhere.

What I am left with are the following:

  • Acer XF270HU - This is a tricky one, as there are 2 versions of it with the same name, one is TS (XF270HU Cbmiiprzx) and one is IPS (XF270HU Abmiidprzx). IPS version not available in Canada, but could order from Amazon.com for $725 CAD.

  • Gigabyte AORUS AD27QD - This one actually shows up on review sites such as TFTCentral and RTINGS and is quite highly rated. Not a fan of the gamer RGB tack all over it. Can be found for $800 CAD from Newegg.ca

  • Nixeus NX-EDG27 - Never heard of the brand, would need to do more research on it. Not available in Canada, but could order from Amazon.com for $790 CAD.

  • Pixio PX276 - Hard to find, possibly discontinued. Can only find the PX276h on Amazon.com for $432 CAD, but won't even ship to Canada :( Suspiciously cheaper than the others too. EDIT: turns out this is a TN panel, not IPS

Personally I am leaning more towards the Acer as its style is a bit more subtle and a bit cheaper than the other two.

At least its progress of some sort, it just surprising to have to scour the land so hard just to find something decent and probably end up ordering from the U.S. and just sucking up the currency conversion premium.

https://www.amazon.com/27-inch-FreeSync-Response-DisplayPort-MG279Q/dp/B00ZOO348C - there is one from Acer but I don't see it being sold anywhere official. Also there's a few Korean brand ones like Nixeus that use the same panel: https://www.amazon.com/Nixeus-27-Inch-FreeSync-Certified-Range/dp/B071G6MYMW?th=1

I love it when Reddit downvotes you because they're too lazy to do research and clings to bullshit.
