While not cheap, free-form and branch-chain amino acid supplements help you maintain and repair muscle with minimal calories compared to an equivalent mass of proteins. I use this one pre-work out, and this one as a more, well rounded, general protein substitute.

I've found, along with fasting, they work especially well with negative lifts. Muscles experience more microtrauma during eccentric contraction under heavy load(compared to concentric and isometric contraction), and less energy is required to perform these exercises. As you're already fasting, burning calories should not be your primary goal in lifting. Rather it's to maintain a metabolic engine which is always burning calories. The amino acids reduce recovery time and soreness, promoting repair, and in some circumstances, hypertrophy.

It's a bit more expensive, but you can replace that whey protein with amino acids. They only have ~1 calorie per gram, instead of 4. They have higher bioavailability. Free-form amino acids don't need to be broken down by the liver, and get into the bloodstream much faster. I'm doing intermittent fasting, and I began losing muscle faster than I wanted to, but taking these has really helped. I take Monster Amino, in the morning and before bed. From what I've found, it's the most complete mix for its price. 15 minutes before working out and 4 hours afterwards, I take Extreme Nitric Stack for the FFAAs. It caused some skin flushing at first, but I instantly noticed increased endurance and faster recovery times followed.

I take this multivitamin, They are horse-pills, but you get a lot for the money. With Monster Amino, it approaches the tolerable upper limit for B6, so stop taking it if your hands start to tingle.

I also take calcium, magnesium, algal DHA, and L-Dopa, but those are more for helping with ADHD.
