Reddit mentions of Orient Classic"Sun and Moon" Automatic White Dial Men's Watch (Model:FET0T002S0)

I love the Orient Sun and Moon. I've been eyeing it on Amazon considering it for my next watch. But there are two versions. One is $269 and the other is $395. Anyone see a difference between the two? The pictures seem to be of the exact same watch, and they're both being sold by Orient.

Hey guys, looking for recommendations. I already have a couple watches in mind but I'd like to know your advice and watches suggestions. It would be my first automatic, I want to make a great gift to me for graduating my phd, so I want something approximately between 300-1000$ cad. Here are the watches I'm looking at right now:

I have a certain preference for: Orient Bambino, Seiko cocktail time and the seiko presage... If you have any watches in mind that you think I'd like, your help is appreciated! And just so you know, my wrist is around 75mm. I like moderate-big watches (for example, I have the Casio MDV-106 which is 44mm and I like it, maybe I'd like a slightly smaller watch though).

Also, I like the curved glass of the Feice.

Seems like he likes simplistic design... Junkers Bauhaus is normally a hit with that crowd. Orient Bambino or Sun and Moon are solid options. Seiko also has like a million good options as well as Bulova which probably has the only skeleton watches in your price range. A common trap people new to watches fall into is worrying too much about straps/bracelets. These are easily replaced and relatively inexpensive, so you should shop for the watch you want and then buy a good band for it.

I don't believe those prices are right, unless he's seeing something I'm not. The only $160 Sun and Moon's I'm seeing are the ladies version (which is quartz), and the OG one for $160 on Jomashop. On Amazon I see the version 2 at the lowest of $184 but with the black dial. Still though, you can buy this watch new for about the same price as he's selling it on Amazon.

i’m not familiar with the brand sturhling so i have no comments/opinions! makes me wonder why the description says quartz when it clearly says automatic on the dial...

two more orients for you without the big water resistant text! these stretch the budget slightly but the dial makes it worth it imo :b

How respectable is Orient as a brand? I've never heard of it lol. I found this whilst browsing for watches and it looks tidy, I'm kinda wondering if I should go for that instead or is there any other options that offer better value out there.

It's got nice proportions. $500 for a quartz moonphase though. Another worth considering is Orient Classic"Sun and Moon" Automatic White Dial Men's Watch for $190. The downside is it's larger at 42mm.
