Our Dumb World: The Onion's Atlas of the Planet Earth, 73rd Edition.
I swear this is the funniest thing I've ever read. Not only that, but it's an atlas. It covers every damn country. It's the best bathroom reading. Ever. Period. It's also a good ice breaker, although much of it is highly offensive. But seriously, I can't recommend this enough. Best $20 you'll ever spend.
Apparently The Onion did it. It actually made me smile when I saw it (click the picture to see the cover closer to see what I mean).
Not all is lost. Pick it up off Amazon for $4 after shipping
Too many books to think through for the most interesting overall.
But if I can limit it to the most interesting toilet reading, I nominate The Onion's World Atlas.
This thread makes me think of the best book I own.

To paraphrase Our Dumb World:
"Let's be honest: the United States is the most important country in the world. Some people say that it's the only country in the world. Perhaps it is."
