When my ex and I split, I took just the bare minimum of kitchen things. Totally forgot a can opener.
I decided to be all fancy and not microwave my dinner one night and was halfway through cooking when I realized my mistake as I stared at a can of black beans.
I stabbed that thing with a chef's knife until I could pry open a triangle-shaped opening on the top and then shook it like a polaroid picture until I had everything.
I'm still amazed to this day I didn't chop off a finger.
Also, The Sweethome recommends this bad boy and I love it.
Why else would they make magnetic can openers?

> This can opener was intuitive to use and easy to attach and detach from cans. It was "comfortable," "very smooth," and very efficient in operation. Because it is a traditional opener, this model leaves a lid with sharp edges (its only downfall), but minimizes potential danger with a magnet that allows "neat and safe" lid disposal.
