Yes, in Asia, especially Japan, many girls and women takes photography seriously, where as in the West that's more of a male hobby. For example, many camera models are developed to target directly at women photographers, with good looks and special colors. This confuses the heck out of Western camera buyers, LOL... here's an example, a very good mirrorless, interchangeable-lens M4/3 camera made by Olympus. As you can see, the entire site is designed to target women. Together with this lens, anyone with the right knowledge can take the photo on that site.

MFT lenses aren't always more expensive - equivalent MFT lenses often cost about the same as or less than Canon full frame glass. Here are a couple of examples:

The 35-100 with the G85 crop factor is exactly like the famous Canon 70-200, which is a wonderful lens to snipe moments from afar. In fact, that lens is absolutely legendary and the 35-100 is the Lumix equivalent. You'll also get the benefits of dual IBIS and the ability to shoot at a fixed f2.8.

With a Lumix camera armed with both the 12-35 f2.8 for general shooting and the 35-100 f2.8 for interviews and telephoto moments, you'll have a great kit able to conquer pretty much anything.

you could use your 12-60 between the range of 12 and 35, then add the 35-100 to give you extra reach in the jungle? If you want a constant aperture lower down you could get the 12-35 or if you want better low light you are looking at primes like the 12mm. i'm not recommending the sigma because it's probably too big to lug around a jungle? amazon referral links included
