It was my first pipe. I picked it up on amazon. It gets HOT, especially with an aromatic. I suspect its due to it being pear wood. The extra stem length saves me though and I don't get much tongue bite with it. It is an awesome shape and my typical aromatic pipe. My wife calls it my ergonomic pipe since my fingers seem to fit right into the grooves.

It's not as shiny as the pictures below lead you to believe it's more of a matte finish at least mine is.

I'll do you one better.

Be very aware that the stem and extension are fairly fragile and the stem broke off in the filter extension a few months after I bought it. I contacted the seller and he sent me two full replacement stem and extension sets. It's a great smoker, but pear wood does burn a bit hotter than briar and this pipe is no exception. I mainly use mine for aromatics.
