No major updates for Moose this week, though if the rain stays away this upcoming weekend we've decided to go ahead and try camping at the beach with her so maybe next week's update will be interesting!
In the meantime though, I feel like we are really close but also stalled. So in poking around I read about a couple natural calming agents, and while the reviews are mixed there are enough rave reviews that I am thinking they're worth the experiment. I'm hoping for something to ease even just a tiny bit of her anxiety, to open up a little more of a window for counter-conditioning before she blows up. Has anyone here tried Rescue Remedy for Pets or Pet Naturals Calming for Dogs?
What worked for mine was using a special treat that she would only get when going into the crate. No other time she was given that treat (I still do the same thing to this day). The treat in question is Pet Naturals Calming
