I'm not sure if its available internationally but I've used Gallup and it does work. My next door neighbors decided to pretty up their garden and planted this shit along the fence line.

By spraying the leaves on my side I managed to kill the entire plant, I also ended up buying them new plants to apologise for my "accident" but it was well worth it.

Lots of digging. I scraped the gravel away with a rake and scooped it up with an old snow shovel. Once the loose stones were removed I had to dig the really compact stones and dirt out using a shovel and a heavy duty metal rake. This was the labour intensive bit, it took me about 3 days to dig down 4-5 inches through the stones send dirt. As for the soil I was lucky in that there was a large estate nearby with groundskeepers I was friendly with, they supplied me with a tonne or so of fresh earth to lay on top.

If you're more interested in how to kill the weeds and keep the gravel I used this weedkiller to remove some deep weeds from places I wanted to keep gravel. I was wanting to keep the garden chemical free, though whomever put the gravel down originally didn't put any weed suppressant liner down so they just kept coming back. With that weedkiller I've not had any issues 6 months after use.
