First of all, congrats on getting your butt off the couch! :)

The headphone thing is a problem for a lot of people but if you have a little bit of money to spend I can recommend 2 good options to fix this.

  1. Headphones that 'clip' onto your ear like these: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Adjustable-Headphones-SHS4700-28/dp/B003DKL57G
I own a pair of these and they're not bad, but if you're sensitive about frequency balance you might need to EQ them some to get a clear sound.

  2. Bluetooth headphones: http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset/dp/B00FO0IHMY
I just ran with a pair of these and it was fine. They're very lightweight but if you are sweating buckets at this point it might be best to not do these. They are sweat resistant but you can't go pouring water on your head or anything with these on.

I'd also look at getting an armband for your phone so you're not holding it. I also recommend using Runkeeper to program your runs and track your progress. But do NOT go to the week 2 workouts if you are still struggling with week 1. It's ok to repeat weeks if you can't complete them. Personally I struggled with weeks 5-7 and repeated all of them at least once but I finally made it. Hang in there! Keep us updated on your progress!

How do u get those around the visor head mount? I've already got a pair of HyperX Cloud II's but couldn't fit them. Just ordered these [Philips SHS4700 clip-ons] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003DKL57G/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

Brand spankin new headphones would help so I could fill long car rides and airplane flights with the smooooth sound of Led Zeppelin :)

I like this kind.

She does have a blankey that goes everywhere with us, I also plan to pack her Cloud B sleep giraffe (raffie) with us. I have a set of kids headphones as well as a set i'm hoping she might like. She isn't too keen on having things on her head so I was thinking that she might like the second set better as she could hold them up to her ears when she wants to listen. I also LOVE the idea of trunki i'll have to pop around and see what's available in Seoul :)

Thank you!

Look into ear-clip style headphones, they will have better audio quality and be kinder on your ears (in-ear buds can cause much more damage to your hearing). Random Example.

Budget
$50-75 (flexible)

Source
Cellphone and desktop PC.

Requirements for Isolation
Prefer minimal isolation.

Preferred Type of Headphone
I'm looking for something very specific here. I want a pair of non-earbud headphones with over-the-ear hooks (kind of like these or these) that are also wireless (preferably Bluetooth). I don't want a rigid behind-the-head band, just a soft wire or cord.

Preferred tonal balance
Don't care.

Past headphones
These were my favourite. I'm currently using this similar model, which is fine although the wire is threatening to break. I generally like this style for sitting at my desk.

But I'm tired of dealing with the wire, especially when working out.

Preferred Music
It really doesn't matter.

----

I don't care in the slightest what they look like, I barely care about the sound quality, and I'm willing to put up with them being moderately overpriced; I'm shopping almost 100% based on comfort. My ears are extremely sensitive, and sound quality doesn't matter if I'm in pain.

The only thing that would cause me to hesitate to buy something in the form factor I described would be reports of low manufacturing quality/high failure rates (like these, which would be exactly what I want if it weren't for the build quality problems).

This song is from one of the first albums I ever played on repeat on my personal CD player. I had a pair of headphones like these and I listened to it on the bus to and from school and on long road trips. Lots of nostalgia in this song and album. Funny thing is, I didn't even realize until years later that Audioslave featured such top tier talent.

Have you tried the Phillips SHS4700? They are similar to the Koss but I don't know anyone who as given them a try.
