PNY NVIDIA Quadro K1200 - used for 2 months. with all the ruckus with the altcoin mining, i'm having trouble figuring out how to value a non mining card. i'm guessing it is not going as high as the current available prices on amazon.

Quadros really only beat out GeForce in two particular applications:

  1. Double-precision workloads, and

  2. [AutoCAD.] (http://www.computeraideddesignguide.com/best-graphics-card-for-cad-programs/)

Sorry, but you're using the one workload where I actually would recommend even a low-end Quadro over a GTX.

That being said, don't despair. The Quadro I've found most people recommend for low-to-moderate CAD workloads is [the K1200,] (https://www.amazon.com/PNY-NVIDIA-Quadro-K1200-VCQK1200DP-PB/dp/B00UPHAT2C?tag=cadsite-20) which is the same price as the 1060 you're looking to pick up.

    Problem solved?

Hello :)
the number of allowed duplicate screens is based on how many entries you have on your video card. So if you're using a video card with two entries, you can have 1 duplicate. If you have 2 video cards with two entries on each, you can have two screens duplicated, but not all 4. Sooooo, if you want all 4 duplicated, you need a video card with 4 entries.
Here's an example: http://www.amazon.com/PNY-NVIDIA-Quadro-K1200-VCQK1200DP-PB/dp/B00UPHAT2C/ref=pd_sim_sbs_147_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=41a28Q7YebL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1D3JDAFHG8AXHCVS49YG
