You could try a portion control plate. There's a lot more wiggle room than calorie counting, so you'll have to be more aware of putting healthier options on your plate (you could fit a lot of calories in the veg portion by having green bean casserole instead of green beans. It just measures volume, so you still need to make sure what goes on the plate is a good choice), but no calorie counting or anything you can really obsess over. Is suggest getting something like this or this where you fill to the top of the compartment versus just a printed plate where you can pile food in one section.


I would recommend something like this over weighing your portions so there are no numbers you can obsess over.
