Though the Great Spum hath already spoken, I'd like to offer my two cents. Music is fantastic for the atmosphere, though it drowns out her voice sometimes. I could easily seeing this getting a following, she is very...would I say kawaii? If you don't know that term, it's a specific type of lovable cuteness found in Japanese culture. If there was music that lasted throughout the video, and a clearer voice (you can get a fairly high quality mic for 20 bucks on amazon, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FK62FSY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is what I use with http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002GXF8Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 as a pop filter, though you can search through a plethera of mics). I might suggest having her play with friends, seeing how it goes!

Realistically, you're pretty much gonna need a mic. However, you're not going to necessarily need an expensive mic. Find something within your budget. With a little audio editing in Audacity (a free program), even a mic like this one can sound tolerable enough for Youtube.

If you can afford $20, this CAD U1 is actually a fantastic mic for the money.

If you can afford $40, I'd strongly recommend the CAD U37, which is the mic I used personally until I hit about 50,000 subscribers.

There are plenty of options out there even for an extremely tight budget, but you're going to need something in today's day and age.

If even an entry level mic upgrade is out of the question, that's one thing, but I just wanted to comment that you don't need to drop $50 to upgrade your mic (though $50 is not a huge amount of money for something like a blue snowball, or similar, which would be a vast improvement). You can pick up generic mics on Amazon for $20 or so.

Something like this is only $19, for instance:

Almost anything is going to be better than an inline mic on earbuds. Will it doom your channel? Not necessarily, but it certainly won't be doing you any favors. $20 may not be a terrible amount to spend on something that will definitely help as you get your feet wet in Twitch, but also be useful if you decide it's not for you but still use a mic (Skype, gaming, etc).

Just my $0.02.
