I have pretty bad pain at the base of my thumbs--the CMC joint. My hand specialist (orthopedic surgeon) said the pain is from joint laxity. It moves too much. I got professionally fitted by my OT for my right and left, but could only afford 1 at the time. I’d highly recommend you size yourself before buying.
