Your machine is more than capable of running Civ VI, especially with the addition of a 1070.

In-fact here's a video running Civ VI using just the integrated graphics of your CPU. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEXIktMtHmU

It's worth noting the dual core will be a bottle neck to your 1070 so you really should not be using a 1070, go with a rx 480 or perhaps look at a different machine such as the Razer Blade which offers better performance (though not as professional looking unfortunately).

*Edit

This is $200 more expensive but offers a 1060 as well as a great quad core cpu, I'm not sure what type of work you're doing but unless it's creatively driven I'd recommend chipping the extra $200 to get a much better machine.

Money isn't an issue? Well you asked.

Acer Predator 21x

21.5 curved 2560x1080 120Hz screen with G-sync

two GTX 1080's in SLI

i7-7820HK

and only $9000.

Okay not really.

Maybe this Razer Blade?

If you want the highest possible gaming performance, look into the soon to be released Asus Zephyrus 15 for ~$2600. It without a doubt has the best specs you'll find in a thin and light laptop on the market. It comes with a new, low power GTX 1080 which doesn't overclock to prevent heat issues. It will still be incredibly powerful, even more so than a Desktop GTX 1070. All while weighing just 4.9 lbs.

More options to look into are the Razer Blade 2017 or the Gigabyte Aero 14 if you value heavy portability and want a 14''. The Aero will have a better battery, but the Razer Blade has a bit more hype behind it.

For a 15.6'' that's still powerful, look into the 15.6'' Gigabyte Aero 15 for $2000 which comes with a GTX 1060. If you want extremely strong build quality for a bit cheaper though, consider the Dell XPS 15.

Avoid integrated gpus in laptops, as they clog the microprocessor with extra load which is bad for gw2.

You still can buy small factor gaming laptops:

you are welcome.

Because they are sold out you need to add it from other offers. But as mentioned you should be able to lock in the price. GL!

Hi,

The market is limited when it comes to small gaming laptops with good battery life - to see some options check this noteb search out.

You can see and change the search parameters using the "Refine results" button in the upper-left part of the search results page. You can also click on the laptops for more information.

The Razer Blade (2017)(US) fits your description, but I wouldn't really recommend it. Lots of technical issues have been reported with their products and their costumer support is rather poor - you can find the configuration I gave you on amazon for 1800$

Another option might be this one: MSI Gaming GS43VR Phantom PRO - it's lighter than the Razer and with a battery life of almost 5H - you can find the configuration I gave you around 1500$ on hidevolution

Based on your criteria as well as budget, this Razer Blade is the closest to matching your..

It has a beautiful 14 inches display, 16 GB RAM which is very good, a powerful Core i7-7700HQ Quad-Core Processor, fast SSD and it even has a powerful gtx 1060 graphics card and a thunderbolt 3 port that allows you to connect an even more powerful card in the future.

I would recommend the Razer Blade 2017 FHD. Amazing keyboard, very portable, amazing gaming performance with the GTX 1060 inside. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N4P5HKV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Fl0SzbK4110BD

Well, on Amazon you can the 256GB SSD version for under US $2000. This thing packs a GTX 1060 which can play Battlefield 1 at Ultra 70FPS and The Witcher 3 at Ultra 30FPS (It's a steady 30, and you won't dip into the 20s)

Title: [USA-NY][H] Late 2016 Razer Blade (i7 6700HQ, 16gb ram, 256gb SSD, GTX 1060, Matte 1080p IPS) [W] 2016 Macbook Pro 13"

Username: /u/mfun98

Body:

I have a late 2016 Razer Blade that I'm looking to sell or trade for a Macbook Pro 13 inch (2016)! It's this one, except it has the 6th gen i7 instead of the Kaby Lake (I couldn't find an Amazon link for the one I bought). The specs are as follows:

  • Intel Core i7 6700HQ Quad Core

  • 16gb DDR4 Ram

  • 256gb SSD

  • 14" 1080p IPS Anti-Glare Display

  • Aluminum Unibody

  • Backlit Keyboard (it types beautifully)

  • I/O includes 1x USB-C (thunderbolt), 3x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI, 1x 3.5mm headphone jack

  • Black Leather Dbrand Skin

    Timestamp

I really love this machine, but I'm looking to make the move over to Mac OS so I would love to trade this for a 2016 13" Macbook Pro. I don't have a preference on which exact model, and I am willing to add or receive cash on top based on which model you may have (although I would love the touchbar). I've had a black leather Dbrand skin on the device for the entirety I've had it (I bought it brand new on Amazon in January), so the body looks essentially brand new. I use this connected to a 4k display via USB-C and a 1080p monitor via HDMI, and the performance is fantastic when multitasking across multiple (in my case 3) displays. For me, I'm not finding myself using the full potential of the machine due to the fact I don't game or edit videos, and Mac OS is better suited for my needs. I'm asking $1500 shipped for a cash offer (based on historic hws and ebay pricing), but I'm open to reasonable offers. Ideally though, a trade is what I'm looking for.

I haven't swapped here before, but I do have 58 confirmed trades on r/hardwareswap

Thank you so much! I'll consider my options, especially this one.

Right now i'm looking at

The Aero 15: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834233205

Eluktronics N850HK1 Pro: https://www.amazon.com/Eluktronics-N850HK1-Premium-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B01N7YTLD0

The Dell Insipron 5000 series: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-Gaming-i5577-7342BLK-PUS-Traditional/dp/B06XFC44CL

And the Razer Blade: https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-GeForce-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B01N4P5HKV/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499050541&sr=8-1&keywords=razer+blade+full+hd

I'm leaning toward the Eluktronics N869HK1 Pro, what i'm worried about is that though it has similar specs to the Aero 15, what makes it ~750 dollars less?

I would recommend this Gigabyte Aero 14Wv7 because it comes with everything you need, i7 quad core CPU which is one of the best in the market and great for your usage, 16GB of ram for smooth multitasking, Good SSD storage of 512 GB for faster boot up and loading, Full HD IPS screen which is a must have for this price range, high build quality, long battery life, very good heat management, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GDDR5 6GB GPU that should be able to handle the games you mentioned on medium to high settings with very good FP, and it is within your budget.

For a laptop with thunderbolt 3 I would recommend this The Razer Blade Gaming Laptop 14 because it comes with everything you need, i7 quad core CPU which is one of the best in the market and great for your usage, 16GB of ram for smooth multitasking, Good SSD storage of 256 GB for faster boot up and loading, good heat management, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GDDR5 6GB GPU GPU that should be able to handle the games you mentioned on medium to high settings with very good FPs, and it is within your budget. but it is a little noise and battery life is a little meh.

[Laptop] (https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GE72MVR-APACHE-PRO-044-i7-7700HQ/dp/B06XSBQZXR/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1501990011&sr=1-9&keywords=msi+gaming+laptop)Not the thinnest laptop, but its cheaper than your budget, has a GTX 1070, and an I7-7700k! It is about 30mm though, which for a gaming laptop, isn't too too bad. If you really need a slim laptop, I am guessing some of the razer laptops would be your better bet. If you want, unless you really need the gaming portability, you could get a basic razer blade stealth, then buy the razer core and add your own graphics card. Even better, just get a gaming desktop for 800-1000 (USD) and get the same performance, then spend your remaining budget on a laptop. This will give you FAR better bang for your buck. You could even get a 1000(USD) desktop with a good I5 or Ryzen and a 1070, then get a laptop with something like an MX150 for light(er) gaming on the go if need be. You can check out this video for more info on that and [here] (https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Blade-GeForce-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B01N4P5HKV/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1501989764&sr=8-7&keywords=gaming+laptop+razer) is probably the best option for that razer blade laptop. It's very thin (only 17mm for a gaming laptop!) and has a 1060. But the other one I showed you is cheaper, and has a better, well, everything. If you are willing to take a bit thicker laptop, you are going to get a way better performance, for a cheaper price as well.
