Well, I have a Manticor and I pretty much have no complaints with it. The tracking on it is excellent with every mouse I've used with it (both laser and optical) and it's a decent size. The build quality is superb, it still looks and performs as well as the day I got it.

I have seen on forums that it isn't as fast/slippery as other hard mats though (which I can't confirm as it's the first/only hard mat I've owned). It is on the expensive side though, and you could probably get an equally competent mat for slightly cheaper.

For those of you who love the bed life and don't need this advice, double advice time! I highly suggest one of these, one of these, along with a decent laptop and mouse.
