Is it just me who think they are overrated for the price? I think there are so many products out there that are better and cheaper compared to HDF.

It seems like you want some extra volume but don't want it to be shiny and look like you have product in? If so I think a clay would be your best bet. There are lots of great clays out right now (they are very hot at the moment) but I am not sure what is available in the UK.

Both of these should provide some extra volume as well as a bit of control and hold. They will add some texture and will not look like you have product in your hair.
