Just a reminder folks to use price tracking services. Many companies do shady price markups, then mark them down as being on sale at there usual price. Amazon is especially notorious for doing this. These have recently hit the $470 price point as an all time low. Looks like it dropped to $500 back in the middle of august so I would consider $500 to be the normal price for this particular monitor. That being said I still think it's a good deal at that price. I'm just hoping for a black friday sale.

What size do you want? I would get one that is 144hz with a 1ms response time. I think it's worth it to go a little smaller if it's response time is extremely low, especially for this game. Mine is a 32" curved I got for 399, but it has a 4ms response time.

This is a decent one with really good response time (1ms) for 169$ (24") the 27" version is 249$

https://smile.amazon.com/BenQ-ZOWIE-inch-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01H5KKRLO/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1505487662&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=gaming+monitor+144hz+1ms&psc=1

If price is not much of a concern, then bigger is better. Just make sure its 144hz with a 1ms response time. You can get this amazing 32" curved for the low low price of 691$!

Doesn’t meet your 4K requirement but at the 27”-32” range I don’t believe it’s as important. But I’ve been using this one for about 2 years and have enjoyed it thoroughly.

My Xbox one X is pumping out 1440p (2K*), Freesync, 120hz on compatible games, and HDR. I thick Samsung made this monitor with the Xbox one X in mind.

u/TeamWorkOPleaseNerf · 3 pointsr/pcgaming

Hey if you play on US servers im usually up for playing Team Fortress 2, which has an easier learning curve that other competitive shooters and you dont need 144 hz . https://steamcommunity.com/id/TeamWorkOpValvePleaseNerf

But anyhow if you have an intel cpu i would recommend this monitor https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LC27FG73FQNXZA-Curved-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B071GRBWG6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1541094466&sr=8-3&keywords=samsung+1440p+144hz&dpID=51YloMWFgaL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

It has low response time, and stupidly good colors.

Otherwise wait for this to be at 300 dollars, the panel isnt samsung, the panel is TN and yadda yadda but its 1440p

Or for 500 bucks this is a steal https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-C27HG70-27-Inch-Monitor-C27HG70QQN/dp/B06XT6WQCJ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1541094466&sr=8-2&keywords=samsung%2B1440p%2B144hz&dpID=41QErex0q4L&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1

Like seriously HDR on PC isnt mature right now but one will have a monitor for many years.

You don’t want a 4k monitor if your computer can’t even do 144fps 1440p.

u/CherryBlossomStorm · 2 pointsr/buildapc

oh absolutely. Go for the 1440p144hz for those games. My personal fav for HDR and stunning colors: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XT6WQCJ/ref=as_li_ss_il?ie=UTF8&linkCode=li1&tag=denwereview-20&linkId=f8d5d57fb7786ff8a31349015a847bd5&language=en_US

the samsung C32HG70QQN. Looks like it's on sale again, for anyone interested. It's not gsync, but I think $450 is a good price for a curved 32in 1440p 144hz "hdr" display

I'm getting a new desk on Friday and was looking for suggestions for a single monitor mount for a 32"curved Samsung monitor.

Specifically this one
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XT6WQCJ/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The reason I'm not just googling is because I feel like this monitor is significantly heavier than other monitors or even larger TVs I've had in the past

u/MrK9182 · 1 pointr/simracing

Its a 32inch https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XT6WQCJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You'll have to ask someone more experienced than me for advice on monitor sizing

u/bahamet7 · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

Anyone who bought this have experience OC'ing the refresh rate?

Currently I have the Samsung [C32HG70] (https://www.amazon.ca/Samsung-C32HG70-32-Inch-Curved-Monitor/dp/B06XT6WQCJ) but was thinking of getting a monitor similar to mine for my brother (2K+, 60Hz+ or overclockable, and hopefully bigger than 27"). I was thinking of getting him the same one as mine or this one (maybe?). If you have another suggestion that also fits the bill better would appreciate it. Thank you!

I picked up the Samsung C32HG70 32-Inch HDR QLED Curved Gaming Monitor (144Hz / 1ms) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XT6WQCJ/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_20wYzbVZPS168 .
It's pricy, but it's an 8 bit panel, 32" 144Hz, 1440p freesync2, curved display. Worth every cent.

u/padmanek · 1 pointr/Monitors

eur usd or gbp? no idea where you from.
Anyways, I'll show some around that price:

AOC AG322QCX 1440p 32" 144(165)hz- 560 EUR/480 GBP/ ?? in USD

VIOTEK GN32Q 1440p 32" 144(165)hz - [500 USD] (https://www.amazon.com/VIOTEK-GN32Q-2560x1440p-Crosshairs-Functionality/dp/B073V5T7WB) / ?? GBP / ?? EUR

Samsung CHG70 27" 1440p 144(165)hz is 600 USD, 32" is 700 but you pay for lots of extra features that you said you don't need like backlight strobing motion blur reduction etc, adaptive sync etc. IMO overpriced, just like Samsung's smartphones.

Philips 328M6FJMB 1440p 32" 144(165)hz - this one will be presented in 7 days on the big tech show IFA Berlin just like the LG panel that we talk about in this thread. I'd expect the price to be around the AOC monitor since they basically match specs. Also this screen has been announced in April and was initially not meant to be released in Europe, only in Asia. It was meant to be shipped to customers in Asia by the end of July so I don't think we'll have to wait long for it. Btw. The price in Taiwan is 14900 Taiwanese dollars which is around 500 USD.

LG 32GK850F - 1440p 32" 144(165)hz - Freesync version of the monitor in this thread, without G-Sync "tax" I'd expect around 600 EUR. Also presented at the IFA tech show in 7 days.

There's only those 5 1440p VA high refresh panels I know about, counting 32/27" and Freesync/G-Sync variants as the same panel.

Ok thanks! I think 120hz is enough for me because I have been using a Toshiba TV from 2009 for all gaming. So anything should be an upgrade from that. 27 inch or above should be fine. Also I would rather have a better refresh rate than 4k 60hz. This alien ware looks like a good balance of everything, not 144hz but not 60hz, not 4k but 1440. Is the curve a gimmick and worth the extra money? This is another model I found was wondering what you think? https://www.amazon.ca/Samsung-LC32HG70QQNXZA-32-Inch-Curved-Monitor/dp/B06XT6WQCJ/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1536879069&sr=8-13&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=samsung+monitor

I really want to, but the only monitor I am interested is not available in my country, is this one https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-C32HG70-32-Inch-Monitor-C32HG70QQN/dp/B06XT6WQCJ/ but the shipping costs the same price of the monitor. No store here wants to import this monitor.

u/glymao · 1 pointr/buildapc

You didn't buy anything yet, right? Bc something else is wrong with this build...... Don't use the i5, it is outdated and will bottleneck.

i5-9600k + z370 mobo +16GB RAM is highly recommended.

For monitor, there are many great choices at a cheaper price, like this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZXZ3QBD

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-C27HG70-27-Inch-Monitor-C27HG70QQN/dp/B06XT6WQCJ

Paired with RTX 2070 or above.

u/teamorange3 · 1 pointr/buildapc

Thanks you have been a big help! Now one last quick question: Monitors, how much should I pay attention to refresh rate and pixels? And is the PC I am thinking about building capable of supporting an ultrawide monitor?

Also what is the limit that it makes a difference? Like can I fully experience a 144Hz monitor (cheapest one I see is for 450 ) or am I just throwing away money when I can get something for 75Hz (300/350) 60 Hz (200)

u/methologic · 1 pointr/unrealengine

Most of the time, overclocking is as simple as moving a slider in a windows program.

With monitors there's a few important stats to look at.

  • Resolution - Most common is 1080p, but 1440p and 4k are starting to become mainstream.

  • Size - diagonal physical size of the monitor. You want to maintain a decent size to resolution ratio. 4k monitor at 24" and stuff may be too small. 1080p at 32" and stuff won't look as crisp.

  • Panel Type

    • TN - Are the cheapest panels, have the worst viewing angles and colors, but the fastest refresh rate.

    • IPS - Best colors, best viewing angles

    • VA - Good black levels, good colors, good viewing angles, good middle ground between TN and IPS

  • Refresh Rate - A measure of how many frames it can show every second. Makes everything feel more responsive and smoother.

  • Ultrawide, curved, swiveling stand, height adjusting stand, speakers, USB Ports,

What monitor you get depends on your budget, but a 1440p IPS monitor is what will likely hit your needs.

  • $100 option 1080p with a nice stand

  • $250 option 1440p IPS with good stand

  • $500 option 1440p@144Hz Curved HDR Freesync with great stand and premium build quality.

You don't need freesync or g-sync. Here's linus explaining why freesync and g-sync exist.

I like it, has 1ms response time and 144hz refresh rate. I play a decent amount of shooters so I wanted atleast 120hz refresh rate. I think I got it on sale for 300-400$ on the costco website.

I got the samsung about a year ago, I've heard this AOC monitor is just as good and 200$ cheaper on amazon.

I’m at work but make sure your monitor supports 10 bit or you could come across some video problems. I had an asus and it just recently caused some problems for me.

Worked for about 6 months.

I just recently got a Samsung. It’s amazing. I don’t have the model number as I’m at work but I’ll get it to you later. Got it for 440 at bestbuy.

Here it is: Samsung C32HG70 32-inch HDR QLED Quantum Dot 144Hz / 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor (LC32HG70QQN) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XT6WQCJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_pZUuDbWTPJH36

I got the 27” though.

One of your best options for the monitor is C32HG70

PX329 is a better monitor - check out what r/monitors have to say about these.

$550 is a terrible price for something like this - for ex. right now you can get the best 144hz 32" 1440p curved VA on the market for same money:
