A great Android alternative is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. I have it and definitely recommend it.

The Samsung galaxy tab S3 is on sale on Amazon for 400$. It comes with a stylus in the box, and it's reasonably powerful. ThOugh if I were you, I would try to splurge for the tab s4, probably gonna last you longer and it's currently 550$ on Amazon.
