Sennheiser HD 4.5 SE at 150$ CAD vs HD1 at 270$ CAD.

Both are heavily discounted - I prefer the aesthetic of the HD1 and they seem to have really better sound but are they worth almost 2x the HD 4.5?

I personally went for a pair of Sennheiser HD1 Wireless for $269.

Much better sound and fantastic sound quality for a lower price at the moment (MSRP for these is $499). The mic is probably not great for gaming but I'm willing to give it a shot for the improved all around quality. Check out some of the reviews online, I think you'll come to the same conclusion.

I have the sennheiser hd1 over ear wireless headset and deal with that headband for hours on end sometimes at work. Is it worse than that if you have any reference?

Thanks for the recommendation! I saw they have an over the ear model as well with this notation: NoiseGard hybrid active noise cancellation blocks ambient noise using 4 microphones for ultimate isolation to dramatically improve sound quality in noisy environments. Not sure if this is referring to blocking the user's voice for phone calls or blocking out noise from the outside so you can hear music better (not what I honestly care about).
