Well, there is a book called 'Judo Kyohon' in which the pages are divided in two, with the upper section being in Spanish and the lower section in English (I think the English is translated from the Spanish, and the English is a very poor translation, so I hope the Spanish section is better, because, presumably, it was translated from Japanese originally).
IMHO, it is not as nice a book as 'Mind Over Muscle', but it is supposed to be Kano's "only full technical book about Kodokan Judo in Japanese" (you can see that even that description is poorly punctuated).
If you were to give him this, I would also give him something else. It might be an idea to look at the 'work' of Spaniard Jose Caracena, who is listed as a kind of co-author (along with Rosa Emilia del C. Disla Reynoso). Caracena has written quite a few books and articles on Judo, although I notice that they often get poor reviews (except from his friends).

A SEARCH ON 'SPANISH JUDO' on Amazon turned up a few suggestions for me - cap, DVDs and books.
