It's definitely stupid but I don't think it's any dumber than a keurig, and those are insanely popular and profitable. Keurig has over 4 billion in revenues from their brewers and cups.

Honestly it makes sense to me why you'd make this. Fresh squeezed juice is a big thing right now with the ridiculous kinds of people who buy keurigs. Juice bars are a thing. People already play exhorbitant prices for fancy juicers and this is just the logical next step- fruit that comes in bags.

There are absolutely a gross number of people that will pay a thousand bucks just to be able to press a button on their phone and get a glass of juice from the room over. It's pretty much just this but with wifi and bags of fruit, for $75 more. I can see why investors thought that was a good deal.
