By the mention of TTL, I'd say flash.
/u/suain The easiest way is with an on camera flash like the SF40 and using the original brand version, the Nissin i40 in wireless slave mode. If you really want no-on-camera-flash that's trickier, as there are no 'single pin' wireless triggers or 'Leica TTL' triggers to my knowledge.
My method would to be to use one of these to block the TTL pins of the camera, then use a Nikon-fit wireless flash system - though note that you may have to shop around to find a trigger that works when mounted on a single-pin hotshoe.
