Sorry if this is a little late, but you might try evening primrose oil supplements. The scalp is its own ecosystem of flora like anything else in your body, and primrose oil is supposed to help promote the good stuff and keep away any fungi and yeast that might cause itchiness and flakes.

I use it, it helps me. This is the one I use, it's 500mg a day and I take one a day. You can split open a capsule and apply it on your scalp too, but I've heard it doesn't smell nice. :c
