I put the front part of the controller holder in between my phone and phone case, and the phone holder stretches to perfectly hold onto the switch.

For 2D games, I prefer the PS4 controller. It's always going to be about which control method is intended to be the primary method for the left thumb, D-Pad or Stick. D-Pad is better for 2D, Stick is better for 3D.

As such, the PS4 controller with a phone mount and a wired connection (Micro-USB to Micro-USB or Micro-USB to USB-C) is amazing for 2D Emulation. This is the mount I use:

Though it's my second one, as the plastic over the trackpad is rather thin and fragile to throw carelessly into a backpack, and my first one broke.

Bit sturdier, but hard to get off once you put it on. Have use something hard like a key to unhook it. The other one uses plastic straps you attach to the back of the controller.

Also feel the PS4 controller's a bit sturdier than the XBone controller for putting in a backpack.

Just got this one today and I’m very satisfied, it feel like weak plastic but once you set it up it works great with the iPhone 11.
