I really appreciate all of this. I’m going to get some video and I might take you up on the PM offer. For reference, this is the rower I have and I’m having some trouble equating the videos I’ve seen with this rower since it’s a different set up. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WW5XXJL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nRS6CbM5TDE5X

Running is my usual cardio, but due to some minor knee issues, my doctor is advising that I go low impact, at least for a while. I recently moved to a new area that isn't great fo running anyway, so I don't mind the change up. My first thought was rowing. It engages more of your body and I like the smooth movement of it. I've used rowers before and don't want to get one of those hydraulic rowers like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Sunny-Health-Fitness-SF-RW5639-Capacity/dp/B06WW5XXJL/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=rowing+machine&qid=1554234216&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-11

as they don't feel nearly the same as a concept (though being a small fraction of the price is tempting). I've used a concept before, and it was great. However, the sticker shock of about $1000 for a new one is giving me second thoughts and has me thinking I should go a different direction. I already tried looking on craigslist, but folks around here think a beat up old model is worth $750+, so I might as well buy new.

Another rower I'm considering is:

https://www.amazon.com/Fitness-Reality-Bluetooth-Magnetic-Exercises/dp/B07NJRWTPS/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

But I can't seem to find much by way of it in terms of reviews, and I'm not sure I want to go with something that isn't tried and true. I do like the foot bar on it. I could do a fair chunk of my upper workout on this thing.

I mean, most people would agree that the concept is a great machine in terms of quality, but has anyone here ever purchased it and thought they would have rather gone a less expensive route? Also, has anyone ever used the Fitness Reality machine and can provide feedback? Thanks!
