Reddit mentions of TDS Mega J Hooks for 2 3/8" Sq. Tube

I looked into UHMW tape which is the same material they use on newer hooks with but I haven’t tried it. My concern is that it would raise how high the bar sits on the hook relative to the front stop.

Also there is no stop/catch behind the hooks so the bar will eventually wear the paint off the rack like this Also see that my Ohio power bar wore a flat grove in the top of the hook in only a few weeks before I got the nybb hooks.

Safety hole spacing ended up not being an issue for me because one horse mat elevates the bench to the sweet spot for me. You may have to play with it a bit or you might just get lucky and the safeties will be exactly where you need them.
