The Five Elements of Effective Thinking

A concise explanation of various strategies to think better and be more creative. Written by two math teachers, I think, which makes it much, much better than some consultant-y, "I made money selling books, so you can too."

Ishmael - If you ever wondered what it would be like to be a telepathic gorilla, this will probably give you the closest answer.

The 5 Elements of Effective Thinking - The INTP Toolbox.

The Willpower Instinct - Because we all know we could use a bit more of it around here...

Emotional Vampires - A survival guide to protect your Fe

How To Create A Mind - Since it's ultimately the only thing we really seem to care about, it's interesting to think how we could theoretically create a 'backup' for it eventually

The Talent Code - In case you haven't quite figured out how to go about mastering skills yet.

I just finished The 5 Elements of Effective Thinking. It's a quick read and some of the topics are obvious but some are not. I'd recommend
it.

>but that (given it was JBP who thought it up and not me) I cannot fully understand the roots and implications of.

Why would you assume that JBP understands all the roots and implications of his ideas, or that you could not develop as complete an understanding (or even more complete)?

That takes a lot of work, but assuming it can't be done means you never get started.
