I have not read it so I can't give a recommendation on it. It appears to be mainly aimed towards helping people 'navigate' the world of Chinese social media, so it may not be what you are looking for. What I can recommend however is the e-magazine Tea Leaf Nation

It is a site dedicated to scouring Chinese social media and bringing it to English readers. As a fairly prolific sinophile, it would the first place I would recommend for what you are looking for.
