It’s the same kind that I used for STEP aerobics many years ago, and the same brand my local YMCA had.
Does your gym have those plastic stair steps with the separate square bases you use to put them at different heights? You can use those square bases as risers too. These steps I randomly grabbed off Amazon
I think the RDLs will help build you up until you can DL 135 with the full size plates.
You can also get one of those step platforms and do step ups and step downs. There is as much down hill as uphill (well maybe a little more uphill but only about 4000' difference between Yosemite Valley at 4000' and Lone Pine trailhead at 8000'), so make sure to train your "going downhill muscles" as well with eccentric exercises.
