Hell it even goes back to the 30s and further. 35mm film has been around for over a hundred years.

The scary part is that even after we move onto 2160p with the 4K TVs that are coming later this decade, we'll still have a long way to go to match the quality of 35mm film (3840x2160 is only 8.3 megapixels and 35mm film is roughly equivalent to 24mp). We'll be seeing a repeating cycle of re-releases in the next big format for decades to come, and George Lucas couldn't be happier.

Arg!!! Four pics were missing! I'd been having issues uploading the images but here are the missing images Thanks for letting me know!

I've thought about buying LOTR again just for that box... the really sad part is that years ago when The Return of the King came out in the special edition DVD one of the inserts was an advertisement where you could order the box if you had all three special editions and I didn't order it and let it slip away. I feel supid for that one.

I think you have to be in the right mood for Master and Commander. For example, when I first saw Kill Bill Vol. 1 I wasn't very impressed, mostly because of when and where I watched it, and I didn't try watching it again for several months, but now it's one of my favorite movies.

I've actually been thinking of ordering this version of The Wizard of Oz! My uncle has it and I am super jelly. And no, no Mrs. DrDoak, these are all mine. :P
