Thanks for the information!

I was thinking NL mainly because I've read that the auto version is a good starting strain, it has decent yield, and low on smell! I figured a well known and well documented strain would be a good first start!

The tent I'm looking at is 4' tall (The one under the LED starter kit) , so I'm assuming that'll be fine, but I'll do more research once I look at that sub and other sites/breeders!

Everything I've read online says Nirvana is a good place to buy from, so I'll probably start looking there first!

and

and you're doing way better, the other things there are all at or under $10, so when you do the math, you've spent $20 more than this kit, but you got a better, brighter, cooler, more efficient light.

Here’s a really nice 2 x 2 x 4ft tent that I use for clones that can be purchased for under 50 dollars US.

Well, I wouldn't buy a tent kit/package. You could go with a 24"x24" tent like this one then buy your light and carbon filter/inline fan seperate.

iPower is a good inexpensive brand to start with for your fan/filter. A 4" fan is more than enough for that size.

As for your light a Quantum board leds are the most efficient lights out now but Cobs (chip on board) are great too.

Add a little clip fan for air circulation and you're all set!

I got the same fan hanging from the same height as my lights pretty much. The fan was blowing directly above the plant pretty much. It was fine for a few days but eventually blew it over and I had to prop it up. I now know that that’s bad lol I also have a fan in one of the openings in the tent, above the plant. It’s blowing air from the outside, into the tent.

And I guess my lights arent strong enough so I’ll move them closer for now. This is the tent I have

Yeah when I transplant, I was planning on putting the soil up to the cotyledons

You can find a closet sized set-up for like $150 if you're only wanting to do it for personal use. You would only get like one plant, but there are larger options for tents as well.

Leafly has a recent article on their "growing" section on set-ups for like $150 and up if you want the whole list.

At the moment it is nothing simple, I have a ViparSpectra 450w w/ bloom switch hooked up to a Century Timer. I just went and bought a small circular fan maybe 6 inches in diameter at Wal-Mart and tied it up in the tent to the top vent as an exhaust. It's in a tiny 2x2x4 Tent. I have a couple clones from my outdoor grow, 2 in pot rn and a few more in a dome, all in the same tent. Not obviously going to keep them all, just hoping the pick the best of the litter.

Awesome, Thank you haha. I realize now the converted shelf probably isn't the best idea. I don't know why it has taken me so long to start looking into grow tents. So I'm looking at a grow tent like thisSo something like that tent, with a small desk fan and one of those Larger LED Boards should be great right?

Can't thank you enough for your help, I really appreciate it! You've been more helpful than literally anything else I've found online.
