This mic was probably my favorite purchase. Friends comment that the voice quality is stunning. I would recommend getting the Neewer mount for about 15 dollars if you're on a budget, this mic does pick up a lot of vibrations with the table stand it comes with. Also, purchase a metal 5/8 to 3/8 mic adapter if you do order the Neewer mount, the plastic one that comes with the Neewer mount is a piece of shit whose threads strip like nobody's business.

Edit: provided links

Link to 5/8 adapter $4.95

Link to Rode PSA1 Mount if you have money to spend $98.79

EDIT 2: u/Mebbwebb stated the Neewer mount might not come with the tightening knob for the Mic. In that case you would have to use a wrench to tighten the mount where the Mic attaches to the arm. The Neewer mount I have has a tightening knob. He has linked an offer that includes a tightening knob plus the mount he linked is cheaper and comes with a free Google Cardboard promotion.

Be careful with the neewer scissor mount because depending on what you get the mic might not be able to be held up due to the design of the bolt that is fastened to the 5/8s adapter. Mine does not have the tightning feature or what was advertised at the time. So the yeti mic will slip out due to gravity unless I rig it different. You are better off buying the rode or using the desk stand.

This one is better because it has the tightening mechanism to hold the bolt.

I give this out a lot. I use all of these, and they were recommended by another podcaster who uses them too.

Here is my short list. I personally have used these. I still use everything but the mic (I upgraded) Everything together is less than $125 USD. Good luck!

Sound paneling https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071VDDVHQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These things and Audacity (which is free) will help you make a professional sound on a budget.

It's odd because I find the modmic4 to be a bit bass heavy for my voice.

AT2020 is very popular as is ATR-2500. This seems like a good starter pack though I haven't heard that mic personally. Pick up a mic boom and pop filter as well. Room acoustics can play a bit to it too, if you want to improve the sound from there look into a mic shield, though I'd go the DIY route, from there the sky is the limit with room treatment and an empty wallet.

Hit youtube and search best USB microphone and go from there. There's tons of videos.

This one and if you want to spend a bit more this one for sure

My blue yeti setup uses this tree new bee suspension arm and it has vastly improved the fidelity of my recording. Should be compatible with most studio microphones as well, in case you ever change mics.

So far, the things I'm definitely gonna get for the final stage are some accoustic dampening foam panels to go behind my desk on the wall and on the back part of my desk to prevent bass distortion from my sub.

I've also got the new razer bungee and some accent lighting kits.

Any other suggestions?

edit:

Oh and I've decided to get one of those microphone arm's. I've been using a desktop stand but that's kinda silly when I can get it off the desk and even get it out of the path of the speakers a bit more.

Plus things that look good and add functionality are a win/win/win if they're cheap. :D

This is what I have and it works well enough for my snowball. It's a short arm, so I had to mount it on the front of my desk, but oh well.

Yes, but i saw that some stands on amazon ar like 50$ and the other is 12$ , do i have to buy something else to use it or what?

Ok, so I found a boom arm that was stupid cheap for the holidays and I'm planning on getting it but the shock mounts all look so complicated and confusing that I don't understand how they work with the boom arm. I saw one made by blue for the Yeti that was like $60 but it looks the exact same as all the other ones. Can someone explain to me how these things work and which shock mount might work with the boom arm I'm getting? Sennheiser HD598 - You do not need an amplifier or dac unless you hear static.

For the mic I use this inside this plugged into my PC's 3.5mm headphone in jack and it is the best mic i've ever had and amazing for the price, better than a blue yeti imo.

If you're on console things get a bit trickier, you'll want essentially the same headphones, a modmic, and a headphone-mic jack combiner such as this.
