The first thing you need to upgrade is the sights. I highly recommend the Trijicon HD XR with an orange front post, but it also comes in yellow. Both sets will have glow in the dark tritium inserts for all three indicators.
If you’re relying on it for self defense, I wouldn’t change anything else. Just get a holster your comfortable with.
