I have the V-Moda Crossfade LP with the BoomPro mic and I am 100% satisfied. V-Moda makes extremely good headphones. I picked up the Crossfade LP's on sale from Amazon for $79.95 (I think it was a lightening deal)
The V-Moda's sound is simply stunning. Great bass and a crisp soudstage. I wear them for watching TV and they never feel uncomfortable (I have a larger than average head). I also use these for my Surface on plane trips as the noise-isolating is fantastic. I cannot recommend V-Moda's enough!! Seriously one of the best (if not the best) headphones I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. If/when I find the M-100 on sale, I am grabbing a pair. Plus the build quality is second to none. You can literally throw them around and they will not break (there is a video somewhere of the owner of V-Moda twisting and bending the hell out of the headphones and they stayed perfect - no damage). They are not to heavy and not too light.
I also have the Turtle Beach DX11 for the 360 and these are, by far, the worst sounding headphones I have ever used. There is no bass at all and the sound will crackle if turned up too loud. The only good about these is that the are comfortabel but that is because they are so damn light due to EVERYTHING being plastic. I will never purchase anything from Turtle Beach again.

I got a set of a50's refurbished on ebay (Deja suggestion) for $90 all said and done. Plus astro just announced a new headset so they may be decreasing the costs of some of their older models.
I also have a set of refurbished turtle beach x11's that I love. Picked them up for <$100 and they have worked great for the past 2 years. I forgot why, but mine came with the DSS mixamp which has made a world of difference for surround sound and use with other platforms other than xbox.
