I've been on this journey. :)

Good guide here - https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/5ovuj2/how_to_achieve_best_sound_experience_advantage/

In my opinion, get a Turtle Beach DSS2 or earlier gen of Astro Mixamp Pro (the latest TR Mixamps have a unpleasant metallic reverb). Both sound great when used with my HyperX Cloud Alpha (the DSS2 is more neutral and the Mixamp has a slightly warmer sound).

The wiring is as follows - http://i.imgur.com/b7yHXZ1.png

Instead of the Microsoft headset adapter on the controller, I use a Turtle Beach headset adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Headset-Audio-Controller-Xbox/dp/B00PWRPF2O/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1542776580&sr=8-3&keywords=headset+adapter+turtle+beach) so I can have mic monitoring. As you can see in the wiring diagram, there are a couple of splitters but it's worth it in my opinion. I actually don't use extension cables except for a cable between the green connector out of controller and AUX port of DSS2. I sit at a desk with a gaming monitor so the DSS2 sits on the desk right in front of me.

I find the Dolby surround processing of the DSS2 better than Atmos processing from Xbox. As a bonus, the surround audio quality on the DSS2 is about the same as stereo (the first reddit link I posted mentions this as well). For a device that was made back in the 360 days, it really has stood the test of time!

If you use audio from the controller, it is compressed so its quality is not as good as the audio output from HDMI or optical. And as you mentioned, the impedance of the Alphas and Cloud 2s is 60 Ohms so the controllers can't drive them if you like loud to very loud volumes. The DSS2 drives the Alphas very well and you'll get decent volume out of them with no distortion.

I haven't tried the Cloud 2s but here are a couple of good comparisons to help with your decision -

Good luck!

Thanks, I’ll definitely try there.I’m down to lose some karma lol. I like TB and even used a sticker.

For 360 I owned and still have to this day the x12’s, 25$ headsets that are just little beats. When I bought an XB1 I picked up the XO Four Stealth 75$ and have had them for just a month shy of 3 years. The mic monitoring is just way better than literally any other headset and I guess that’s credit to the TB con adapter, but I picked up some of those just in case they were to fail.

(Excellent little device btw here’s a link for it. 10/10 solid device. 3 levels of mic monitoring, 3 bass options and independent volume controls for game/chat AND mute switch.. this thing is awesome.)

But my headset (TB) is only failing me cause my nephew (6yr old? Lol) started to game and I let him use the headset but he bends the connector in such a way that damaged the cable. Also now with way more options out there for not too much more I wanna try something different. My currents headset doesn’t have a detachable 3.5 chat cable and That’s why I am looking for detachable solution because with wireless he may hop on and I may be s-o-l if I wanna play but the headset is dead.

Yes and no. You have the chat headset, that one only receives chat audio.

Newer controllers gave a 3.5mm jack built into the controller.

Since you have the first generation Xbox One controller, you would need an adapter.

The cheapest one I could find that would work, and isn't an unknown brand. This would be perfect, but you would have to get another headset, either earbuds with a mic or a gaming headset.
