I wanted a ninja install of 2 Brook Super Converters, and a memory card with FMCB on it. One converter in, and the MC. Both work swimmingly, and hide right inside, affixed to the inside-top of the shell.
I'm going to prep and install the second converter tomorrow, as well as scope out a way to extend the USB ports to the side or back of the console-- for controller pairing and charging purposes. I'm thinking about repurposing this extension.
EDIT: Well crap, now I'm thinking I might be able to tap into the data +/- signals on the front USB ports, while leaving them intact for regular usage as well.
I didnt even know these existed! Thanks for the share :D
So if you are interested in throwing money at the problem, so to speak, here's something that might be helpful - https://www.amazon.com/URWOOW-USB3-0-Square-Flush-Mount/dp/B07J4WWHB1/. I've used them in a number of previous projects and they are a breeze to install when you have to re-locate ports to another dash/console location.
Come to think of it... I'm not a huge fan of the ports being located in the center console anyway. I might use this as an excuse to move them up to the front-console cubby area lol.
