Handwraps, specifically mexican style handwraps and gloves. I love Venum gear, but for a beginner, really anything will do. I used the $20 Everlast gloves from Dicks for the first two years. I'd recommend 14 oz or heavier.
Out of curiosity, are you a member at a boxing gym? Thinking of joining? I ask because seriously, good form above all else. I've been boxing on and off for 6 years and the only reason I've stuck with it so long (and gotten pretty good at it) is because of my coaches. I won't get way into it, since this isn't a boxing subreddit, but there is so much more to boxing than just punching things and it is a WHOLE NEW WORLD that awaits you out there.
While boxing shoes are obviously ideal they wear out pretty fast and are expensive. Converse offer most of the benefits for less money and will last far longer. Just going from Vans to Converse made a big difference for me.
16oz gloves are perfect for bag work, if you're only going to have one pair of gloves get training gloves. Ideally you would have a pair for bag work and a pair for sparring though.
I couldn't find much but Venum gloves are your best bet from what I saw on amazon.com

I don't think the sizing will be that much of an issue, and it also changes based on the size of the gloves.
I highly recommend getting handwraps with some elasticity to them and are 180". I haven't had any hand pain or problems since getting mine.
