Get this one, for $300 you can have 1440p and VESA and 27":

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0749R9Q3J/asc_df_B0749R9Q3J1527073200000

https://www.mikescomputershop.com/product/8512833

Price match and buy from Staples etc.

--------------------------

Again if you don't care about VESA but want 32", 1440p, 144hz, for $500 I'd order this one also:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1406916-REG/viewsonic_vx3258_2kc_mhd_32_wqhd_monitor_with.html

WITH VESA and G-sync:

If you need resolution and color accuracy for photoshop go with 1440p/60Hz/IPS one like this one:
https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VA2719-2K-SMHD-Frameless-Monitor-Inputs/dp/B0749R9Q3J/

If you're okay with less color accuracy go for 144Hz for gaming, because it's massively more responsive and smoother. Here's a 1080p/240Hz/TN/G-Sync Compatible one:
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-XF250Q-Cbmiiprx-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07G3GRFSZ/

Both of those are within your budget. The VA monitor the other person linked is also a great middle-ground option but keep in mind you won't get 144fps on most games with it because of the higher resolution, but still better than 60.

There's a couple Acer models that go on sale at Newegg every so often. Other than that, this is your best bet: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0749R9Q3J

Have you tried adjusting settings on that monitor? How close/far is the monitor from where you sit?

I have a 27" 1080p monitor (BenQ GW2780) as well and its picture is clear and sharp.

That monitor, is it 27inch ya?That's the furthest for 1080p imo. If you have the option, maybe return that monitor and get yourself a 1440p instead, if you're not satisfied. That resolution will be more crisp clear on a 27" size. Maybe something like this, it's within the same price range:

It's $10 more at amazon but in stock if you're really interested

*A word

The VA2719 would probably be a better purchase. Significantly cheaper than the L27Q (at least from the websites I could find that were selling the L27Q), and ViewSonic is pretty reliable (not to say Lenovo isn't, but there's a reason you're not really gonna see many people around reddit rocking one lol).

1080p on 27" monitors tends to look like do-do especially when you're used to 1440p. Like you mentioned the DPI is relatively low when you have 1920x1080 on a 27" monitor. I would recommend getting the big brother to your Dell (S2716DG) but a TN panel isn't too great when you're watching from a distance at an angle. Here's a nice alternative that's IPS and reasonably priced. You won't need more than 60Hz for movies and videos anyway: https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VA2719-2K-SMHD-Frameless-Monitor-Inputs/dp/B0749R9Q3J?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAJ76EIXAV3V6D6JEQ&tag=globalnetwork-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B0749R9Q3J

If there are no requirements, other than 1440p, I'd suggest giving this a look.

Viewsonic VA2719-2k-SMHD

https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VA2719-2K-SMHD-Frameless-Monitor-Inputs/dp/B0749R9Q3J/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=ips+1440p+60hz&qid=1568807590&s=electronics&sr=1-2 It's on the low end of your price, and it's an ips with 1440p while also being 27 inches. Viewsonic makes pretty decent monitors.

u/chochotra · 1 pointr/Monitors

BenQ GL2706PQ is 60hz TN. I'd pick ViewSonic VA2719-2K-SMHD 60hz IPS.
