Seeing a lot of people questioning the point of drives like this, even if you can debate whether or not this is faster than any other 5400rpm HDD, it's currently the cheapest 2.5" 2TB drive I can find, regardless of SSHD or HDD.

Here's my use-case if you want an example of why this might be perfect for some people: I have an ITX build with a decent 500GB NVME drive running my OS and my frequently used games and programs, and I only have space for up to 2 more 2.5" drives.

I want to add at least 1TB of 2.5" storage for my music, photos, movies and rarely used games, so my options are: spend $120 on the cheapest 1TB SSD, $60 on the cheapest 1TB HDD, $100 on the cheapest 2TB HDD, or buy this 2TB hybrid drive for $85.

Even though I agree SSHD drives can be a bit of a noob-trap with questionable marketing claims, they're at least as fast as other 2.5" HDD's and this one is also cheaper, so it's a no-brainer to me. If anyone has a better solution around this price, please let me know

No not as an internal, although it is a 2.5 in it will be to thick once you remove it from the external housing. It will work as an external hard drive to compliment you PS4. 2 TB is really the max you can go and remain completely internal. This Seagate or this WD are both good and cheap options. Depends on your preferance. I prefer Seagate, others will say WD.

HGST and Toshiba also make 9.5mm HDD , these two are my fav brands but unfortunately , their drives are limited to 1TB

There's really only two choices, both are effectively identical in terms of quality.

Seagate @ $120

(or the Firecuda SSHD model @ $140)

WD @ $102

It's just a normal hard drive, [like](https://www.amazon.com/Blue-2TB-Mobile-Hard-Drive/dp/B079BQS5WQ/
) or this

Do you have playstation plus? then the game saves should all be in the cloud.

I just tried using a 4TB drive, and making two partitions. No dice. I even tried making a 2TB partition and leaving the rest as unformated, and that didn't work either :(

Resorted to throwing in a cheap 480GB SSD. I have a bunch of 256GB flash drives, but I'd rather use a drive.

I heard the best drives for the 360 are the 2TB Western Digital Blue
