Oh and I currently have a Whistler CR90. Got it several years ago based on recommendations, and haven't regretted it. I dream of a Valentine 1, but that's a bit rich for my taste. The CR90 can be configured to tone down some (but not all) of the K Band noise. Not sure what's the best out there now, in each price range. The Whistler CR90 is a good choice in the sub $200 category. Likewise the BEL Vector V995 is good for under $250.
